Glenda Jackson, film reviews, the experience of starring in panto
Glenda Jackson on new drama Elizabeth is Missing, plus our regular film reviews and an insight into the life of a pantomime star.
Film review day and we’ll be discussing two films written by actors: Motherless Brooklyn, a neo-noir crime film written, produced and directed by Edward Norton, and Honey Boy, a drama with a screenplay by Shia LaBeouf, based on his childhood and his relationship with his father. Plus drama Ordinary Love, starring Lesley Manville and Liam Neeson.
Elizabeth is Missing: Grant will be talking to star Glenda Jackson, and writer Andrea Gibb who adapted the Emma Healey’s bestselling thriller for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.
And we get into pantomime mode as we go behind the scenes in Edinburgh at the Royal Lyceum’s Christmas production of A Christmas Carol.
Plus Grant hosts his fellow Scottish panto stars Jordan Young, Kim Shepherd, Alan McHugh and James McAnerney for a discussion about costumes, staying healthy, learning lines and enjoying the ride: the actor’s experience of starring in panto for 6 weeks every year.
