Michael Schenker
Guitar maestro Michael Schenker picks his Rock God and Johnnie focuses on another musical milestone for 'This Week In Rock'.
Michael Schenker knows a thing or two about rock. A guitar legend in his own right, he made his debut aged 11 playing with older brother Rudolph and The Scorpions. He joined the band officially aged 16 in 1972, only to leave a few years later and join British rock band, UFO as lead guitarist. In 1979, Michael established The Michael Schenker Group. Over the years, his career has taken many turns, including a period in which he re-joined UFO. Despite some hard times, Michael has always maintained his own legacy, even through periods of personal difficulty. Michael is currently working with his latest incarnation, the Michael Schenker Fest and released a new album, 'Revelation', in September this year. A huge fan of all things guitar, how will Michael narrow down his choice to just one Rock God? One thing is for sure - he will! Elsewhere on the show, Johnnie will dig deep in the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Archives for 'This Week In Rock', plus he'll bring you the latest rock releases and large helping of choice classic tracks.
