A man is found slumped in a passage way with a single stab wound. Police deal with an allegation of domestic and financial abuse, and officers go to the aid of a frequent caller.
In Peckham, 39-year-old Juan Olmos Saca is found slumped in a passageway with a single stab wound to his heart. When officers arrive at the scene they follow a trail of blood up to a flat where they find another man injured in bed and five other Latin American living in the flat. All six men are arrested as suspects and interviewed, but all are soon released except the man found injured in bed. The detectives don’t think his story stands up, but with no sign of a murder weapon they need to prove he’s lying.
In north London, the Met’s Community Safety Unit investigate allegations made by a 47-year-old woman that she has been emotionally, physically and financially abused by her friend and her friend’s father. In Ealing, response officers Naomi and Mahad deal with a woman who has called seven times over the last week to complain about her husband. All too familiar with the caller the response officers go to check on her wellbeing and try to arrange for support to be put in place. And another call takes them to visit a woman who has just received an email scam trying to blackmail her for money. She refuses to pay but wants the offenders reported so they can’t harass anyone else.
