Zadie Smith, children's author Tom Fletcher, film reviews and National Poetry Day
Author Zadie Smith joins Grant to talk about her long-awaited first short story collection, Grand Union, on Super Thursday, the biggest day of new book releases in the year.
Acclaimed novelist Zadie Smith joins Grant to talk about her very first collection of short stories, Grand Union, today, Super Thursday, the biggest day of new book releases in the year. Children's author Tom Fletcher will also be discussing his new book for younger readers, The Christmasaurus and the Winter Witch.
Of course it's also film review day and we’ll be discussing this week’s new releases: Joker, where Joaquin Phoenix stars as the outsider who gradually evolves into Batman’s nemesis, the Joker; the Judy Garland biopic Judy, starring Renee Zellweger- and a look behind the scenes of the golden era of Motown in new documentary Hitsville.
And we’ll be marking National Poetry Day with the poetry ambassadors from the Scottish Poetry Library.
