To mark the 50th anniversary of the moon landing Claire McCollum reveals the extraordinary story of how astronaut Buzz Aldrin took Holy Communion on the moon. The programme visits Ely Cathedral, where a giant replica of the moon is on display as part of their science festival. A former British NASA engineer, who worked on the space programme, gives his first-hand account of the Apollo 11 mission, and in Ely itself, we visit the house where Oliver Cromwell lived at the start of the English Civil War. Plus there’s the launch of the Young Choir of the Year Competition 2020.
