Dark, enigmatic British band These New Puritans discuss their new work, a set of reimagined pieces from selected David Lynch films to be premiered at Manchester International Festival.

Stuart also explores the cult album Gandharva by Beaver & Krause, in which sinewy blues rock collides with warped, spacey textures from one of the first ever Moog synthesisers. They described the album, which reflects on Hindu mythological themes, as β€˜the score to a non-existent film’. Plus, there’s music by Gothenburg galactic synthesist Retep Folo, electrifying art-rock sextet Bent Knee and smoky Canadian ambient from Loscil.
