Shaun is live from Festival Square for this year's Manchester International Festival. The two week festival is a celebration of art, theatre, music and more. 6 Music will sit right at the heart of this year's extravaganza, as we celebrate everything the festival has to offer. Guests at this year's event include Yoko Ono, Janelle MonΓ‘e, Laurie Anderson, Idris Elba and Skepta.

Shaun chats with Christine Cort - MIF’s Artistic Director and Managing Director about the offer of this year's festival and the Drunk Pandemic team tell us about their show based around the Manchester cholera epidemic of the 1830s. Plus, Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess joins ahead of his panel about Transcendental Meditation and Manchester Chef Mary Ellen Mctague joins to chat about the food culture of the city and her DJing gig over the weekend.
