Mark Feehily of Westlife chooses the Tracks of My Years with music from Simon & Garfunkel and Alanis Morissette. There's the daily love song plus another round of PopMaster
Mark Feehily, member of the Irish pop vocal group Westlife, chooses the Tracks of My Years with music from Simon & Garfunkel and Alanis Morissette. Mark is the youngest in the band which has to date released twelve albums, embarked on twelve world tours and won several awards, becoming one of the most successful musical groups of all time. The band originally formed in 1998 in Dublin, disbanded in 2012 and reunited in 2018. They were first signed by Simon Cowell in the UK, Clive Davis in the US and managed by Louis Walsh and Sonny Takhar. The group currently consists of Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Shane Filan and of course Mark himself. With 15 number one appearances, Mark is also the highest charting LGBT performer and Irish LGBT performer on the UK Singles Chart. In February this year he announced his engagement whilst holidaying in the Maldives and on his 39th birthday in May, he and his fiancΓ© Cailean O'Neill announced they are also expecting their first baby. The band are currently on tour celebrating 20 years of hits including 14 number ones. 'The Twenty Tour' will see Westlife perform all 14 of their number one singles, as well as some brand new songs live for the first time, with a new record deal signed and a new album on the way.
Ken also has the daily love song, record and album of the week plus another round of the PopMaster Music Quiz. If you'd like to get in touch with the show email Ken.Bruce@bbc.co.uk
