An educational leaflet on farming containing major factual inaccuracies has been given out to schools for the last three years. It describes how UK farmers use GM crops, feed animals hormones, and farm animals are cloned, all of which are illegal.
With fewer insecticide treatments available to farmers and the withdrawal of neonicitinoids, farmers have to find new ways of preventing the damage aphids cause to crops. A collaborative project between Keele, Durham and Harper Adams Universities is looking into biological controls.
