Sanjeev Kohli
Edi talks to actor and writer Sanjeev Kohli about his love for his Still Game character, Naveed.
Actor and comedy writer Sanjeev Kohli talks about his love for his Still Game character Naveed and why he doesn’t see the shopkeeper as a stereotype. He’s the third son of Indian Sikh parents who came to Glasgow in the seventies and also ran a shop. He explains why he was such a very shy child, and is still a reluctant performer, never having dreamt he would be in a TV soap, like River City. He talks about his marriage, his decision not to wear a turban, being mentally wired to be pessimistic…and why the family pet is a lesson on changing attitudes to racism.
