Five daughters and their out-of-touch mums arrive in Liverpool for the start of a unique 21-day social experiment. By living as 21-year-olds once again, will the mums finally be able to understand their daughters better? The girls kick things off by sending their mums out for an intensive makeover, where they’re transformed into undercover 21-year-olds. Fresh from the salon, the mums are thrown into the world of selfies, social media and online dating – all under the watchful eyes of their daughters. 

Jo and her daughter Devon go on a double date undercover as cousins,Β Salena bravesΒ itΒ on a date with a bloke half her age, andΒ Harjit and Kiran take part in a Gen Z singles night. But can theΒ mums pass the test and convince their dates that they are 21-year-olds? And will the girls survive theΒ embarrassmentΒ of dating with their mums?Β Will the maternal instinct take over when the subject turns to sexting, andΒ willΒ oneΒ mum'sΒ attempt to drink like one of the kids and speak their lingo give the game away? Can they get their mums to pull off being 21 again, and willΒ the experimentΒ bring them closer together?
