Natural England has revoked three general licenses for controlling certain wild birds following a successful legal challenge by the campaign group Wild Justice. Mark Avery from the group tells Charlotte Smith that he has every sympathy for farmers who have received this news at very short notice and hopes this it leads to a wider consultation in the future. Minette Batters from the National Farmers' Union also reacts to this decision, as well to a new report which says more forestry is needed to help combat climate change, which as Caterina Brandmayr explains could run alongside other measures. For public on farms week Heather Simons visits a farm that has offices and a swimming pool, and asks the farmer whether it's people rather than livestock that now account for his income.
