Elizabeth faces up to her troubles and an old mystery rears its head.
Susan thinks Chris is made to be cricket captain. Management is in their blood. Chris admits he enjoys being in charge.
Jill confirms to Elizabeth that Leonard has finally agreed to be on the art project steering committee. Elizabeth tells her mum how much she enjoyed her family birthday tea. She hopes no-one’s still worried about treading carefully with her – she’s fine. Jill admits to wishing she’d done better by Elizabeth. Elizabeth reassures her nobody’s to blame for her illness; the important thing is with the right treatment she’s getting better. Later Jill wonders whether it was wise to disclose her condition to Chris Carter. Elizabeth responds that there’s no shame in talking about mental health.
Jazzer’s getting under Jim’s feet, so he’s escaped to the shop. As Natasha chooses flowers for Pat, Susan quietly remarks to Jim that she’s the cause of Jazzer’s unemployment. They’re distracted when Natasha holds up a find – a tatty piece of Fallon’s stolen bunting. Susan wonders whether Barry’s the culprit.
Natasha’s irritated when lunch at Bridge Farm runs late. Oblivious Tony shows her a new Angus calf. As she talks he comments she has a very good business head, which can only be good for Tom. He lets the cat out of the bag about a honeymoon Tom’s booked, before announcing to Natasha that now Tom’s married her, they can finally stop worrying about him.
