MS. Found in a Bottle by Edgar Allan Poe

Episode 5 of 5

A storm sweeps the east coast of Java. The last of five lesser-known stories by the incomparable author. Read by Owen Teale.

A storm sweeps the east coast of Java.

In a writing career that spanned barely two decades (he died in his 41st year) the American penned over seventy short stories. These he incessantly revised over the years and many became standards of the short form (like β€˜The Fall Of The House of Usher’ or β€˜The Pit and the Pendulum’).

But for our five fictional tales, we burrow down amongst Poe’s lesser-known, and often dark, gems.

Read by Owen Teale.
