Caroline Wyatt
Edi Stark uncovers the life of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ journalist and correspondent in Bonn, Berlin, Paris and Moscow Caroline Wyatt. She has reported from wars in Afghanistan, the Balkans and Iraq.
In the first of the new series,Edi Stark uncovers a fascinating life. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ news journalist Caroline Wyatt, was correspondent in Bonn, Berlin, Paris and Moscow and reported from wars in Afghanistan, the Balkans and Iraq. For nearly ten years she was on TV most nights as Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ defense correspondent but had to give up the job she relished when multiple sclerosis made the demands of the work too difficult. Now working a high profile presenter on Radio 4, she is continuing her diligent journalistic skills. Her own life is not without drama…as she tells Edi, she was adopted in Australia where she was born, by a British diplomat and his wife but her beloved adoptive mother died when she was ten, turning life upside down. After convent boarding school she studied journalism but before taking her first job, she investigated her own story of adoption with astonishing results. More recently she went to Mexico to have radical treatment for MS including stem cell transplant and chemotherapy. She is, as listeners will discover, the epitome of stoicism and good humour.
