Disorienting sounds from composer Luc Ferrari, an Australian museum full of vintage synths and a classic piece from Yellow Magic Orchestra’s Ryuichi Sakamoto feature in Group A’s playlist.
Group A are two Japanese artists living in Berlin who make sonic collages out of electronics, a violin played through an FX pedal and sounds sampled on a cassette deck. Tommi Toyko from the band has selected an hour of intricate sounds and driving rhythms that are best enjoyed as a close listen on headphones.
