With Re-Textured Festival organisers Krankbrother
Tom is joined in the studio by Re-Textured Festival organisers Krankbrother, plus festival performer Carla Dal Forno shares her Guest Mix
Tom is joined in the studio by underground music event organisers Danny and Kieran Clancy AKA Krankbrother. This time they’re transforming some of London’s Brutalist buildings into a "multi-sensory" Techno experience as part of the Re-Textured nights. Some of the biggest names in the field are there over the course of a few nights and it’s easy to see the link between the music and the space you’re experiencing it in. β€Brutalism is about patterns, structures, lines. The interaction of space and form. Minimalism is at its core.β€ And we’re pretty sure we can see the link to the music running through those ideas.
Festival attendee Carla Dal Forno also shares her guest mix. The Australian multi-instrumentalist is currently based in Berlin was in such bands as F Ingers and Tarcar, and formerly of cult Melbourne outfit Mole House. She's also the leading proponent in what the internet is calling Electronic Body Music. From last year’s β€Top of the Pops’ to the first record that caught our ears, 2016’s β€You Know What It’s Like’, we’re really excited to get her on for a guest mix, which promises to be beautiful and menacing in equal measure.
