Pakistani and Indian TV dramas
Do Pakistani and Indian TV dramas have a positive or negative influence on real life?
Do Pakistani and Indian TV dramas have a positive or negative influence on real life? Nihal is asking this after Pakistan's media regulator PEMRA issued a warning to TV channels saying TV drama content has become "too bold" and that they "go against true Pakistani society." Then Nihal speaks to Saeed Atcha who was awarded an MBE for his services to young people and the community in Greater Manchester. The 22-year-old founded a charity to promote a positive image of young people following the riots that took place in 2011. Then we hear from journalist and writer Coco Khan who has written an article for the Guardian about the difficulties of cooking English food without adding desi flavours and spices. And then Nihal is joined by Joy Crookes - one of the emerging artists to be named on the Asian Network’s Future Sounds 2019 list.
