Aled Jones and Russell Watson join the Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad.

The Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad discover how The Children's Society popularised the Christingle Service in Britain 50 years ago.

They've known each other for over twenty years, now Aled Jones and Russell Watson have come together to collaborate on their new album, 'In Harmony'. Over separate careers they have sung for popes, presidents and royalty. As they prepare for a UK tour in the new year, Aled and Russell join Kate and Jason to tell them about their friendship, faiths and how they go about working together in the recording studio.

In 1968 the first Christingle service was held in the Church of England. It has become one of the most common and popular Christmas services in the UK, especially among children. Christingle services often raise money for children's charities and Matthew Reed, Chairman of the Children's Society joins Kate and Jason to explain the origins and meaning of the service.
