Fresh-grown furniture, Assisted death, Plastic waste

A visit to the furniture designer in Derbyshire who is coaxing tables, chairs and chandeliers from living trees.

Two years ago, Deboarah Binner was the reluctant co-star of a controversial Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ documentary following her husband Simon to an assisted death. Now she has written a book, Yet Here I Am, about the experience and about her 17 year old daughter Chloe's illness and death from an incurable cancer in 2013. She makes a case for better end of life care and for a more nuanced debate around assisted dying.

This week Greenpeace criticised the UK's big supermarkets for flooding our homes with billions of single-use plastic bags every year. Tesco did the walk of shame - they produce more single-use plastic than any of the others, but then they are bigger than all the others too. Now Tesco has come out fighting. They say they've got a plan that'll reduce the environmental impact of the average shopping basket by half. We find out how they're going to do it.

And the ultimate eco-chair - we visit the furniture maker in Derbyshire who is coaxing tables, chairs and even chandeliers from living trees, if you're prepared to wait.
