From the radio archive, the programme also includes first-hand accounts of life in the trenches from former soldiers who spoke to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Wales in the 1970s.
Mal's guests includes writer & broadcaster Phil Carradice, who has written extensively about the role of the Welsh in the Great War, at home and overseas. Mal is also joined by Emily Connick and Gillian Connolly, founders of a new Military Wives Choir in Cardiff.
