Fatherson and Bryde
Roddy Hart is back with another top bill including Scots alt-rockers Fatherson and Welsh singer-songwriter Bryde.
The Quay Sessions is Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Scotland’s weekly multi-platform live music show, set by the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow. Showcasing the best homegrown acts and visiting artists from across the globe, Roddy Hart is back this week with another fantastic bill - Fatherson and Bryde.
Formed in Kilmarnock in 2010, Fatherson deliver heart-on-sleeve alt-rock. The trio comprises vocalist/guitarist Ross Leighton, bassist Marc Strain and drummer Greg Walkinshaw. Their new album, Sum Of All Your Parts, was produced by Claudius Mittendorfer (Arctic Monkeys, Interpol, Weezer) and cements their status as one of Scotland’s best bands. This is a rare chance to see them play live in an intimate setting before they headline Glasgow Barrowlands again.
Pembrokeshire-born, London-based Bryde aka Sarah Howells specialises in fierce and fragile songs with poetic grit. Bryde worked on her debut LP Like An Island with Catherine Marks (Wolf Alice, PJ Harvey, St Vincent) and it's an assured collection which is has just been nominated for the Welsh Music Prize.
