Tracyanne & Danny is a new collaborative project between singer-songwriters Tracyanne Campbell (Camera Obscura) and Danny Coughlan (Crybaby). Their self-titled album was recorded at Edwyn Collins鈥� studio in the Highlands of Scotland and Edwyn co-produced the record along with engineer and multi-instrumentalist Sean Read (Dexys Midnight Runners). Tracyanne & Danny invoke a range of shared influences including Dion, Lou Reed, Serge Gainsbourg, and Santo & Johnny.
Kurt Cobain said 鈥業f I could be in any other band, it would be BMX Bandits鈥�. BMX Bandits were at the heart of the influential indie DIY scene centred around Bellshill in the 1980s. Led by the charismatic Duglas Stewart, the evolving line-up over the years has included Norman Blake (Teenage Fanclub), Sean Dickson (The Soup Dragons) and Eugene Kelly (The Vaselines) and the band, in their latest incarnation, share classic songs Serious Drugs, Disco Girl & E102 alongside new music from their latest album BMX Bandits Forever.
