Music 'til Midnight - Moira Stuart returns to Sunday nights with the best in late night sounds and timeless standards featuring classics from the George Gershwin songbook. Born 120 years ago on 26 September 1898, George Gershwin still ranks among the greats of popular music. All the more so when you consider that his life was cut short by a brain tumor when he was aged only 38. The centrepiece of tonight's programme is Love Is Here To Stay. This is the latest release from Tony Bennett, who recently celebrated his 92nd birthday. On the album he is joined by Diana Krall and together they perform a selection of Gershwin classics including Nice Work If You Can Get It, Love Is Here To Stay and Fascinating Rhythm. This was the very first song Tony recorded in 1949 under his then stage name of Joe Bari. As well as Tony and Diana the other featured artists include Billie Holiday, Jack Jones, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and pianist Oscar Peterson with titles including But Not For Me, They All Laughed, The Man I Love and I've Got A Crush On You.
