Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream is live; Little by Edward Carey; National Libraries Week.

We hear about Let's Inherit the Earth, Morna Pearson's comedy musical play about climate change, and a new Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition at Edinburgh's National Galleries.

Founder and frontman of Primal Scream Bobby Gillespie joins Janice live on the show to talk about Give Out But Don’t Give Up – The Original Memphis Recordings

Let’s Inherit the Earth is Morna Pearson’s climate change comedy… with songs. Dogstar artistic director Matthew Zajac is in the Edinburgh studio along with Scottish actor Sarah McCardie and Swedish actor Tobias Morin to talk about this wonderfully bizarre play which asks important questions such as what the destruction of the environment will do to the quality of cocktails.

Our favourite art historian Anne Ellis wants us to fall in love with Toulouse-Lautrec this week, as she tells us her impressions of the new exhibition dedicated to him at Edinburgh’s National Galleries, Toulouse-Lautrec and the Art of Celebrity, and shares why she thinks he was the original Banksy.

We hear the bizarre and wonderful story of the original Madame Tussaud from Edward Carey, who’s written an historical novel about her called Little.

Janice’s Single of the Week comes from Perth band Parliamo – it’s called All Dolled Up and comes ahead of the release of their new EP The Thrill of the Chase.

Bob Dickson reports on a ground breaking dance project which is helping people with Parkinson’s disease, and which is being extended across Scotland by Scottish Ballet and Dance Base.

It’s National Libraries week so all week on the show we shall be celebrating libraries with archive clips from Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio Scotland interviews with celebrities who love libraries. Children’s author AH Proctor is in the studio to talk about leading the campaign for National Libraries week and our first archive clip comes from two Scottish authors who didn’t grow up with the luxury of books at home. Jenny Colgan and Val McDermid both saw their local libraries as something of a lifeline when they were young.
