The Ballentine-Brain family are split down the middle about where they want to spend the rest of their lives. South African-born Zelease wants the warmth of Australia, while husband Matt thinks sense and stability lies in Britain. Ballentine-Brain family update

The Ballentine-Brain family stayed on for a little longer after the filming and also visited Adelaide which felt even more like living back home in South Africa. Even though the majority of them voted undecidedly, Β they all fell in love with Australia and the hope of making Australia their new home has, over time, become a family dream.

Since the filming,  they met the stem cell donor in September who saved Skylah’s life and it was a very special moment eventually being able to personally share their thankfulness, gratitude and love to her in person.

Thinking of saying goodbye to their stem cell donor, friends and family seems unbearable especially because they have done that once before when leaving South Africa.Β  Yet, the UK is where Matt grew up and was where Skylah was saved and it will always be a very special place. Β But, for the future Β they hope they can start the new life they dream of and that has more sun, sea and warmth. They are working with Immigration2oz who are currently helping them to obtain the required visas.

Now they pray and have hope that Australia will be their future.
