Youth
Endurance cyclist Lee Craigie hears how decisions made in our youth can affect the rest of our lives.
How often have you thought you wished made a different decision when you were younger? Life is full of decisions. Some are easy, some are hard. Some will have little impact, some will change the course of your life, right there, right now, from that moment on.
In this episode of Life Cycle Lee Craigie meets two people who, in their youth, made decisions that would change the course of their lives.
Rickie Cotter found herself in a police cell facing drug charges. She could decide does she continue a life controlled by drugs or does she get clean and use that moment to make her life better every single day? She explains her decision to Lee and how it still influences who she is today.
Basit Rashid’s decision to fight his mental health problems rather than succumb to them started with tiny little steps. Today he takes giant leaps. Through meditation, exercise and a positive mental attitude he keeps himself moving towards a better place and now he wants to take others along with him.
Two very inspiring stories that push Lee to consider that no matter what our circumstance or situation we (almost) always have a choice.
