Highlights from Cambridge Folk Festival 2018

Music from Janis Ian, Rhiannon Giddens, Daoirí Farrell and more.

Mark Radcliffe presents live music from Europe's top folk festival, which took place earlier this month.

Highlights include a main-stage performance from Grammy-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens, who was guest curator at this year’s event. As well as performing herself, she selected Peggy Seeger, Kaia Kater, Birds of Chicago, Amythyst Kiah and Yola Carter to appear across the weekend.

Playing her only 2018 UK date at the festival, there is also music from the great Janis Ian. The thoughtful songwriter began her career at the age of 12 and has created time-honoured favourites including 'At Seventeen', which was a hit in 1975.

Also included in the show are main stage performance highlights from Dublin balladeer Daoirí Farrell, Anglo-Scottish sextet The Shee, long-running multi-instrumentalists The Poozies and Malian desert rock band Songhoy Blues.
