Anna Meredith, Andy Goldsworthy and Adam Holmes and the Embers
Anna Meredith discusses the music she has composed for the opening night concert of the Edinburgh International Festival, and Adam Holmes and the Embers are live in session.
Composer and performer Anna Meredith has composed the music for the opening night concert of the Edinburgh International Festival: Five Telegrams (which was also performed at The Albert Hall for The Proms on 12th July) - she will be on hand to tell Janice all about it.
2018 is 'The Year of Young People' - an initiative which aims to inspire Scotland through its young people, celebrating their achievements, valuing their contribution to communities and creating new opportunities for them to shine locally, nationally and globally - with that in mind, we will hear from members of the National Youth Orchestra and have a discussion with young people who have been involved in both Edinburgh International Book Festival and The Fringe.
Janice will also have a brand new single of the week and hear from the World-renowned land artist Andy Goldsworthy- talking about a new documentary, LEANING INTO THE WIND-which looks at the impact of the years on both himself and his art.
All that and live music from the brilliant Adam Holmes and the Embers.
Don't Miss it!
