Cathy talks to former Secretary Of State for Northern Ireland and anti-apartheid campaigner, Lord Peter Hain. Born to anti-apartheid activists with links to Nelson Mandela, Peter Hain grew up in South Africa. As a close friend of Mandela's, and ahead of the 100th anniversary of his birth, he's written a biography which offers unique insights into one of the world's most iconic statesmen.

As part our occasional series, Inspirations, children's author Vivian French talks about how a member of her family inspired her to pursue a career as a writer.

Demand for gender identity services is at an all-time high in Scotland, for both adults and children. There's increasing concern that anti-Semitism may be on the rise again in Germany. There have been some high-profile incidents on the streets and in school playgrounds. Now the German government plans to send anti-bullying experts into selected schools to tackle anti-Semitism among children. Cathy talks to the 麻豆约拍's Berlin Correspondent, Jenny Hill.
