Sir Elton John is on the phone chatting to Ken about his latest album 'Restoration', which sees some of the world's biggest country stars, including Willie Nelson, Maren Morris and Dolly Parton cover some of his most beloved and legendary songs. Elton is one of the most successful solo artists of all time, with 38 gold and 31 platinum or multi-platinum albums. He's won Brit Awards, Grammys and 12 Ivor Novello Awards. He's also won an Oscar and a Tony Award and since his first tour in 1970 he's notched up over 4000 performances in more than 80 countries. His latest album is part of his celebration of 50 years of songwriting alongside the iconic Bernie Taupin.
Bobby Crush, the pianist, songwriter and actor who rose to fame after six winning appearances on 'Opportunity Knocks' picks the Tracks of My Years with songs from Dusty Springfield and Matt Monro. Bobby has also performed on the West End stage at the London Palladium alongside Jack Jones, Vic Damone and Dame Julie Andrews. He has worked with Max Bygraves, starred in Chicago and The Rocky Horror Show and was chosen to perform at the Royal Variety Performance. Bobby's self-titled album reached the UK top 20 and more recently he's been starring in ITV comedy Benidorm and Last Laugh In Vegas. His greatest success as a songwriter came from writing the music and lyrics for "Orville's Song", which was performed by Keith Harris, and went on to sell over 400,000 copies reaching number 4 in the UK singles chart.
