Steve Harley and Teenage Kicks

Celebrating the vinyl revival with classic records and new releases. Steve Harley is in conversation and Grant marks the 40th anniversary of The Undertones recording Teenage Kicks.

Celebrating the vinyl revival with classic records and new releases. Grant plays album tracks from his own collection and discovers the stories about your cherished LPs.

Steve Harley is in conversation looking back at the first two Cockney Rebel albums which have just been reissued on vinyl. He also guides us through his own record collection, reveals why he prefers digital over analogue and describes his friendship with Marc Bolan.

It's the 40th anniversary of The Undertones recording one of the greatest pop songs ever. The band's guitarist Damian O'Neill remembers cutting the song in June 1978 and explains why the record has stood the test of time.

There's another Classic 12" single on the record deck. Plus another Roots of a Sample, this week playing the original vinyl that helped create Beyonce's big hit Crazy In Love.

And Grant unveils the 20 albums you should consider owning if you're starting a record collection. ABC's 'The Lexicon Of Love', 'Revolver' by The Beatles, 'Blue' by Joni Mitchell, 'Songs In The Key Of Life' by Stevie Wonder and The Stone Roses self-titled album are already on the list. A further three records are added to the Vinyl Collective Collection. Get in touch with your suggestions.
