Hear Her Day

Lauren asks listeners to share their favourite female voices, as we join the 麻豆约拍 in marking 100 years since suffrage. And Charlotte Church is off to the Desert Island Disco.

Lauren presents a show full of female artists, as 6 Music joins the 麻豆约拍's Hear Her season in marking 100 years since suffrage and the centenary anniversary of women being able to vote in the UK. Listeners are invited to share their favourite female voices with 6 Music and we'll play as many tracks as we can fit into three hours!

We also speak to Charlotte Church, who is curating an evening at Cardiff's Festival Of Voice on 16th June. Titled Utopia, it will feature performances from iamamiwhoami's creator Jonna Lee, Fatoumata Diawara and more. Charlotte will be chatting about this, and taking charge of the tunes at the Desert Island Disco.
