Episode 3
Cattle and sheep farmer Christine has a surprise in store for her dates, equine vet Heather deals with a late arrival, and things get emotional on Pete’s farm.
Love in the Countryside is a six-part Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Two series that sees eight rural dwellers from across the UK enlist the help of farmer’s daughter Sara Cox in their quest for love. As Sara knows, if you work on the land, you’re often wedded to it, so she takes the bull by the horns and goes on a mission to find our lonely rural romantics the partner of their dreams.
All eight rurals have posted detailed dating profiles online in the hope of attracting letters from urban singles looking to quit the hectic nine-to-five in favour of a slower pace of life.
In this episode, 28-year-old equine vet Heather and 33-year-old cattle and sheep farmer Christine’s dates arrive to sample rural life; and Pete’s time with Helen and Caroline on his dairy farm is nearing an end.
Single for seven years, Christine is apprehensive as Joe and Josh arrive at the farm. After being thrown straight into some particularly sensitive work, Josh questions his aptitude for farm life; and with both men vying for Christine’s attention, there’s a difficult decision to be made.
After the arrival of her three dates, including latecomer model and actor Kamil, the competition to win over equine vet Heather gets serious, but she’s left with little doubt as to who she can see a future with, and soon two of the men are left firmly out in the cold.
Viewers also see the sensitive side of Yorkshire dairy farmer Pete as he spends some one-on-one time with each of his dates, and emotions run high when he reveals who he can see a romantic future with.
