John Motson OBE, football commentator, chooses the Tracks of My Years in the lead up to the FA Cup final. His seventh and eighth choices are by Blondie and The Marmalade. Since 1971, John has been a commentator for over 2,000 games on television and radio, including covering all the major football championships: World Cups, FA Cups and European Championships. For a 30 year period from the late 1970s to 2008, John was the dominant football commentary figure at the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ - apart from a brief spell in the 1990s, when his friend and rival Barry Davies was selected for two FA Cup final commentaries and the 1994 World Cup final. In 2008, Motson announced his retirement from live television commentary. He has continued since then to cover games for Match of the Day highlights and appear on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 5 Live as well as commentating on CBeebies' Footy Pups.
Ken also has the daily love song, record and album of the week plus PopMaster. If you'd like to get in touch with the show email Ken.Bruce@bbc.co.uk.
