Craig Revel Horwood sits in

Craig Revel Horwood sits in for Elaine Paige - Fab-u-lous dahling! Presenting show tunes and the latest news from the worlds of stage and screen.

Craig Revel Horwood - Strictly's Mr Nasty sits in for Elaine Paige, presenting show tunes and the latest news from stage and screen.

From October to Christmas - Craig Revel Horwood enters our homes every Saturday and Sunday night as he judges the contestants of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 1's Strictly Come Dancing.

His catchphrases are iconic -" Fab-u-lous! A-ma-zing!" Equally memorable are his put downs: -"It was a dance di-sah-ster dahling."

But Craig's role as a Strictly Come Dancing judge is just a tiny part of the contribution he has made to the world of dance and musical theatre over the last 30 years. He's worked as a performer, a choreographer and as director on the likes of Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, Fiddler on the Roof, Guys and Dolls, Cats, Spend, Spend, Spend, Copacabana, Chess, Calamity Jane, Crazy for You, South Pacific, My One and Only, Sister Act and Sunset Boulevard....the list goes on.

Craig was born in Ballarat in Victoria, Australia. Early career highs in Australia included parts in West Side Story, La Cage Aux Folles and Me and My Girl. He also appeared as Lavish - a trumpet playing, tap dancing drag act with a penchant for belting out Whitney Houston songs. After a period at the Paris Lido Craig finally came and settled to live and work in the UK. He was Munkustrap in Cats and cast as a GI in Miss Saigon but was later to return as its resident director. He's a regular panto wicked queen and has recently completed a UK tour as Miss Hannigan in Annie. His most recent work can be seen in the closing moments of the hit children's film Paddington 2 - he choreographed the Hollywood dance routine for the imprisoned villain Phoenix Buchanan - as played by Hugh Grant.

From Saturday nights on the box to Sunday lunchtime on Radio 2 - over the next 2 weeks Craig shares some of his favourite musical memories and show tunes. Today's show includes tracks from Call Me Madam; Carousel and Saturday Night Fever.
