Xanax, Warpaint, Prison, Period taboo

Warpaint's singer Theresa Wayman; Indian cultural taboos about periods; women in prison for not paying council tax; buying drugs online and what you actually get.

Xanax is an anti anxiety drug that's become commonplace as a drug of choice for young people, although it is only available on private prescription in the UK. Lauren Moss, a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ South East reporter has been looking at why young people take it, how risky it is and how they get hold of it. She's now completed her research on what is actually being offered on the street and online. Is it Xanax or something else?

In a letter to the Guardian last month, more than fifty people involved in the criminal and legal profession have called for imprisonment for non-payment of council tax to be abolished. They say too many people are being unlawfully imprisoned - they argue that debt is not a crime and should not be treated as one. Jenni is joined by Naima Sakande, Women's Justice Advocate at the Centre of Criminal Appeals and Melanie Woolcock who went to prison for non-payment of council tax.

All-female band Warpaint's guitarist and vocalist Theresa Wayman is launching her debut solo album under the moniker TT. She joins Jenni to talk about branching out on her own, home schooling her son, designing lingerie and studying quantum physics.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have asked people to donate to charities instead of sending wedding presents when they get married in May. One of their chosen organisations is the Myna Mahila Foundation in Mumbai, India, which helps empower women by breaking cultural taboos around menstrual hygiene. Jenni talks to Suhani Jalota, the charity's founder about the work she does.
