Great music from the 40s, 50s and beyond. Roy delves into the history of the RAF in Wales as the service celebrates its centenary in April with a major event in Swansea.
Music from the 40, 50s and beyond, to entertain you on a Sunday afternoon, as well as the regular dip in the radio archive for a broadcasting gem. On this Easter Sunday you can hear a fascinating programme about Nevern Church in West Wales. It was founded by St Brynach but the church and church yard are an ancient site of worship, pre-dating Christianity. Roy will also be finding out about the major celebrations happening in Swansea in April , marking the history of the RAF which is celebrating its centenary. Roy will be joined by ex RAF reservist Robert Taylor who is an expert on the history of the Welsh air base Stormy Down which played a key role in training Allied fliers during the Second World War.
