Miss Holland, Paralympians, First aid, Rani Hong
Comedian Eline Van der Velden, Rani Hong describes being sold into slavery aged seven, emergency first aid for parents and kids and winning gold in the winter paralympic slalom.
Rani Hong was born in Kerala, India, but was kidnapped when she was seven and sold first into slavery, and then into adoption. She now works as a special advisor to the UN Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking. She speaks to Jenni about her life to date.
In her new series of shorts, comedian Eline Van der Velden brings her alter-ego, Miss Holland, to Great Britain. The self-proclaimed 'world's most popular beauty queen' wants to know what makes Britain British - from spray tans, to afternoon tea, and maybe even marrying her own ginger royal. Eline joins Jenni to discuss tackling stereotypes in comedy.
What do you do if your child has an accident at home, in the park or in the road? Jenni is joined by Tracey Taylor, the First Aid Education Development Manager for the Red Cross and Sam Wilcox, a paramedic to find out what it's like to meet people for the first time in an emergency scenario, plus to discuss the latest advice for you and for your child should something unexpected or dreadful happen.
On the final day of the Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang, Menna Fitzpatrick and guide Jen Kehoe won gold in the women's visually-impaired slalom, making them Britain's most successful ever Winter Paralympians. Menna and Jen join Jenni to discuss what makes their partnership work so well, what's most challenging about the sport and attitudes towards Paralympians.
