Nation's Favourites: Denise Lewis

Jo sits down with Denise Lewis to talk through her life as an athlete and a gold medallist. Jo explores Denise's world from training in Wolverhampton to life after winning gold.

Tonight Jo is joined by Denise Lewis. Denise was born in Wolverhampton, after her mother Joan moved from Jamaica to the U.K. in 1966. After watching the Moscow Olympics in 1980 Denise was obsessed with the idea of becoming an professional Athlete and in 2000 she took home the gold medal in Sydney having won the heptathlon.

Denise retired from professional athletics in 2005 and has since gone on to be a regular on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sport as well known for diving straight in to tough challenges for charity.

This evening Denise walks Jo through her career as well as playing some of her favourite musical choices.
