Music recalling a groundbreaking world tour
A test piece for the often underrated 4th section bands by Rodney Newton and played by the famous Black Dyke Band gives Frank Renton a jumping off point for a mini world tour.
A new recording of music by Rodney Newton celebrating the centenary of a groundbreaking world tour by Besses O' Th' Barn is the starting point for Frank Renton as he lingers awhile in the same, sometimes exotic, places. He finds a new release from the 2017 American Open Champions, plays music released by the much missed Yorkshire Building Society Band with David King to mark their own trip to Australia and of course we hear a track from Besses themselves.
