Former 'Bake Off' finalist Ruby Tandoh talks to Simon about her new book 'Eat Up!', described as part manifesto, part memoir. In the book Ruby celebrates the fun and pleasure of food, taking a look at everything from gluttons and gourmets in the movies, to the symbolism of food and sex.

Eat Up! is a described as a celebration of loving what you eat, peppered with sumptuous recipes and inspired by Ruby's complex relationship with food and by her ongoing conversations with friends and chefs online. Ruby wants the book to be seen as a reassuring antidote to all of the fad diet books in the chart at the moment, and was inspired by her 2016 riposte to the clean-eating clique.

In 2015 Ruby was voted viewers' favourite ever Great British Bake Off contestant and she has a huge and loyal fan base who love her recipes as well as her honesty, enthusiasm and activism.
