New research suggests that safety fears are the main reason parents in Scotland won't allow their children to make their own way to school. A survey, carried out by the Scottish Parent Teacher Council and the Sustrans Scotland suggests that more than forty per cent of Scottish parents choose to do the school run in the car because of such concerns. Should we call time on the school run?
