Charlie Dore chooses the Tracks of My Years

Charlie Dore, the UK singer-songwriter and actress who's had her songs recorded by George Harrison, Tina Turner and Lisa Stansfield chooses the Tracks of My Years.

Charlie Dore, the singer-songwriter and actress chooses the Tracks of My Years with songs from The Beatles and Duncan Browne. After drama school, regional rep and a stint in children's television Charlie formed a bluegrass band playing Monday nights in a west London pancake house. The band, with school friend Julian Littman graduated to the pub circuit from where she was signed by Island Records in 1978. She made her first album in Nashville and London and released a single, Pilot of the Airwaves, which became a hit in the US. Charlie has had her songs recorded by George Harrison, Tina Turner, Ricky Ross, Sheena Easton, Celine Dion, UB40, Status Quo, Paul Carrack and a had a UK No 1 with 'Ain't No Doubt' for Jimmy Nail. Charlie's latest album, 'Dark Matter' is a home-grown project; the record was recorded and mixed in Charlie's room with co-producer-writer-school friend Julian Littman.
