Jolene gives some good advice, and Emma is embarrassed at work.
At Bridge Farm Susan is keen to start promoting the kefir again now that Christmas is over. However, Helen is far too busy, and insists she'll have to wait for Tom to return from his conference. Susan devises a market research project of her own, and starts pouncing on customers at the Ambridge Tearoom. Fallon and Emma worry that she's scaring away customers, and do their best to moderate her zeal. Eventually Emma puts her foot down the Tea Room is not the place for Susan's market research.
Later, Helen receives and honest account of the disastrous feedback from Emma. She thanks Susan for trying. Perhaps this is a sign that Ambridge isn't ready for kefir.
Jolene has a quiet word with Pip. She overheard Pip and Alice's argument on New Years' Eve, and is aware of the pregnancy. Pip wonders if Jolene thinks she's mad to keep the baby. But Jolene thinks it's wonderful news. She was a single mother herself, and, although it wasn't easy, Fallon was the best things that ever happened to her. She isn't surprised to hear that Toby is the father - it explains his recent strange behaviour. She warns Pip that Fallon, Nic and Emma all know. Pip needs to tell her family before they hear it from someone else.
