Theresa May suffers a humiliating defeat over her Brexit plans after a Conservative revolt in the Commons.
Theresa May's government has suffered a humiliating defeat, after MPs voted to give Parliament a decisive say on the final Brexit deal. As the Prime Minister prepares to travel to Brussels to meet EU leaders on Thursday, her former attorney general, Dominic Grieve, led other Conservative rebels in voting against the government - after an intensive campaign by Conservative whips failed to win the rebels over.
