Eddie proudly reports to Rex that his turkeys have completely sold out. Rex still has plenty of geese to sell, and, with Toby occupied with gin production, he'll have to dress them single handed. When Eddie reports the conversation to Ed, he sympathises. Eddie's still holding a grudge against the Fairbrothers for trying to muscle in on their sales, but Ed reminds him of the time they helped shift all their leftover turkeys. They both have a free afternoon, and offer to give Rex a hand. Rex is immensely grateful. He loves the way the people of Ambridge pull together at Christmas.

After Alan's outburst, Kirsty is determined to save the pantomime. Neither Eddie nor Jazzer seem likely to return. She recruits Lynda to tackle Eddie, pointing out that Lynda herself has given casts a few tongue lashings over the years. Eddie won't listen to Lynda, but Rex's words about people pulling together at Christmas strike a chord, and he turns up to the rehearsal. Jazzer arrives rather tipsy, having been plied with alcohol by Kirsty. Lynda even offers some constructive help, explaining how some of the traditional pantomime slapstick tropes are meant to play out. The scenes finally begin to flow, and Alan starts to believe that they might actually have a show.
