Some great CDs from 2017

As soon as you make a list others will disagree, but these are some of Frank Renton favourites CD releases of the year.

In his look back over the year's CDs Frank Renton spotlights the new National Champions Brighouse and Rastrick playing music a million miles away from the competition arena. Cory's Storyteller CD gets the top spot with some incredible playing, Black Dyke celebrated the ever popular music of Paul Lovatt-Cooper and we salute the final recording for the outgoing Principal Director of Music at The Royal Marines Lt. Col Nick Grace OBE. We've also been looking high and low, far and wide and even Over The Horizon for a CD of the Year, and it sets a very high benchmark in the world of soprano cornet players.
