David Maxwell gets advice from the experts on clearing out ponds before winter, tidying borders and planting bare root roses. And he visits Castle Ward to talk tree ferns.

David Maxwell joins Ann Fitzsimons who is clearing out her pond before winter. Maurice Parkinson has timely advice on tidying up the borders and leaving plants with winter interest. There's also some top tips from rose expert Ian Limmer from Peter Beales Roses on how to plant bare root roses now. Also in the programme, David heads to Castle Ward on the shores of Strangford Lough where they are taking steps to protect a newly established collection of tree ferns from the worst of the winter weather.
