Mobeen asks whether listeners are offended by the Tesco Christmas advert. The supermarket's seasonal offering has proved controversial with some.
Are you offended by the Tesco Christmas advert? The advert has been accused by some of being 'anti-Christian' and of being 'leftist propaganda'. Some of those who complained said they would boycott the supermarket. Then our reporter Rahila Bano has been looking at the issue of why there's a lack of women councillors in Blackburn, a town where almost 30% of the population are from a South Asian background. Also it's been 45 years since Ugandan Asians were forced to flee their homeland after being expelled by dictator Idi Amin. Mobeen is joined by Ugandan Asians Rajpal Ghataoura, Neha Jolapara and Arti Lukha to talk about the impact the expulsion has had on them and their family's lives. And author Sathnam Sanghera and TV producer Nisha Parti talk about Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 2 drama 'The Boy with the Topknot' - which looks at the joys and woes of growing up with Punjabi parents here in the the UK.
